The firm is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join its Emeryville office. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting attorneys in meaningful and impactful work.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, revise, proofread, and manage legal documents and correspondence.
  • Create and maintain Tables of Contents (TOC) and Tables of Authorities (TOA).
  • Handle electronic filings with courts, agencies, and administrative bodies.
  • Maintain and organize legal files, records, and document management systems.
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to attorneys and legal staff.
  • Coordinate deadlines and prioritize multiple assignments effectively.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and professionalism in all legal documents.
  • Support attorneys in a busy labor and employment law practice.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a law firm or legal office environment.
  • Strong experience with eFiling procedures and preparation of TOCs and TOAs.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word and legal document formatting.
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work efficiently under deadlines.
  • Proven clerical and administrative support experience within a legal setting.
  • Experience filing with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and/or the Public Employment Relations Board (PERB) is a plus.
